Course Description
Our online CPR/AED course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to respond to cardiac arrest and potentially save a life. This course covers the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA) and is designed to be accessible and user-friendly, whether you are a healthcare provider, a first responder, or a member of the general-public.

The objectives of our CPR/AED training course are as follows:
1.Recognize cardiac arrest and the need for CPR and AED intervention.
- Understand the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest
- Learn how to perform a primary assessment of the patient
- Understand when to call for emergency medical services (EMS)
- Provide basic life support to a person in cardiac arrest.
- Learn how to perform high-quality chest compressions
- Understand the correct method for delivering rescue breaths
- Understand the importance of continuous CPR until EMS arrives
- Use an AED effectively to restore a normal heart rhythm.
- Learn how to properly apply and operate an AED
- Understand the safety considerations when using an AED
- Understand the importance of quickly using an AED in combination with CPR
- Respond to special situations that require modified CPR and AED techniques.
- Understand the differences between CPR for adults, infants, children, pregnant women, drowning victims, and opioid overdoses
- Learn how to modify CPR and AED techniques for special situations
- Collaborate with other responders during team-based CPR/AED interventions.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of each team member during CPR and AED
- Learn how to effectively communicate with other responders during an emergency
By the end of the course, you should be able to confidently recognize cardiac arrest and perform basic life support, effectively use an AED, modify CPR and AED techniques for special situations, collaborate with other responders during team-based CPR and AED interventions, and understand the certification and renewal requirements for CPR and AED
