Exam Guidelines
1. Purpose
OSHAccredited Safety Institute is committed to providing high-quality, accessible, and credible online safety education to learners worldwide. Maintaining the integrity of our training and assessment process is essential to protecting the value of our courses and Certificates of Completion.
By registering for and participating in an OSHAccredited Safety Institute course, students agree to comply with this Exam Policy and Honor Code and to complete all assessments honestly and responsibly.
2. Exam Policy
The following requirements apply to final course examinations:
- Passing Score: Students must achieve a minimum score of 70% to successfully pass the final examination.
- Exam Duration: There is no fixed time limit for completing the final examination unless otherwise stated for a specific course.
- Open-Book Examination: Final examinations are open book. Students may review course materials and their personal notes while completing the examination.
- Exam Retakes: Students who do not achieve the minimum passing score may retake the final examination until a score of 70% or higher is achieved.
- Certificate of Completion: Upon successfully completing all course requirements and passing the final examination, students should download and retain their PDF Certificate of Completion as evidence of successful course completion.
3. Honor Code
By registering as an OSHAccredited Safety Institute student, I acknowledge and agree that I will:
- Personally complete all examinations and graded assessments without assistance from another person.
- Not complete, submit, or attempt to complete an examination or assessment on behalf of another student.
- Maintain only my authorized student account and protect my username, email address, password, and other account credentials from unauthorized use.
- Not-allow another-person to access my account or complete any portion of a course or examination on my behalf.
- Not engage in cheating, impersonation, misrepresentation, or any other activity intended to obtain an unfair academic advantage.
- Not copy, photograph, record, reproduce, post, sell, share, or distribute examination questions, answers, knowledge check questions, or other protected assessment materials.
- Use permitted open-book resources only as authorized by this policy and independently determine and submit my own answers to all examination questions.
4. Student Responsibilities
Students are strongly encouraged to complete all assigned course materials, videos, exercises, and knowledge checks before attempting the final examination. Students should seek clarification whenever course concepts or requirements are not fully understood.
5. Violations
OSHAccredited Safety Institute reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Exam Policy and Honor Code. Where a violation is reasonably established, the Institute may take appropriate action, including invalidating examination results, withholding or revoking a Certificate of Completion, suspending or terminating course access, or taking other action appropriate to protect the integrity of its training programs.
6. Changes to This Policy
OSHAccredited Safety Institute may revise this Exam Policy and Honor Code periodically to reflect changes in its courses, assessment practices, technology, or institutional requirements. Revised provisions become effective upon posting with an updated effective date. Continued participation in OSHAccredited Safety Institute courses following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
By registering for, accessing, or completing an OSHAccredited Safety Institute course, the student acknowledges responsibility for complying with this Exam Policy and Honor Code.
