Objectives
At the end of the training participants should be able to:
- Identify and describe common fall hazards in various construction work environments and explain their potential impact on worker safety.
- Select and inspect appropriate fall protection equipment such as harnesses, lanyards, anchor points, and lifelines to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards before use.
- Demonstrate correct donning, connection, and adjustment of a full-body harness and perform a pre-use inspection of anchorage and connectors.
- Identify and explain common fall hazards and applicable OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926 Subpart M).
- Differentiate between various fall protection systems (guardrails, safety nets, PFAS) and analyze their appropriate use in construction scenarios.
